My goal was simple, I thought. I wanted to run 15 miles in 3 days in the Texas hill country while abstaining from beer and heavy foods. The running was the easy part. I did the miles and ran some serious hills; and I feel much better than I anticipated considering the difficulty I have finding hills to train on.
The beer intake was moderate too. It really had to be if I was going to run every morning. However, I ate myself silly. My in-laws are not cooks by trade, but they could be. To give you a glimpse of what the weekend was like Easter dinner was 6 racks of smoked baby back ribs, 4 pounds of chicken and apple sausage, a vat of slow cooked cheddar potatoes, homemade rolls, coleslaw, some kind of grape salad, and veggies were there somewhere. This was for 6 adults, a three year old, and a three month old.
All in all it was a great idea and committing to the mileage for Brandon’s challenge was the only way it was going to happen. Thanks Brandon.

Congrats on the run! The meal sounds really good, too.
